As is tradition in the camping world, the annual gala for two of the largest European tourism agencies-the Royal Dutch Touring Club (ANWB) and the General German Automobile Club (ADAC)—took place at the beginning of the year in each respective country of origin. During this celebration, the best camping sites in all of Europe are rewarded and recognized.
Each of these organizations are very influential and enjoy a lot of prestige in the sector, with over 22 million members between them both. Every year agents are sent to the main camping sites in Europe to assess their facilities and see if they meet with the best standards of quality that can be offered to guests. The seals of quality that they give out to very few camping sites every year, are synonymous with a job well done.
